PTLS

In this project we investigate the issue of performance impact on difference protocol options for the IETF Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.

PTLS - Performance Study of Transport Layer Security

In this project, we examine the TLS handshake processing in client and the server side for both standard TLS and pre-shared key TLS, including a detailed analysis of handhandshake performance and overhead under different cipher suites. The first performance results have been published in a paper in the IEEE Globe Internet Symposium 2006, and more details can be found in the original results made through our experiments:

1)  Device processing time for TLS handshake

2)  Transmitted messages in the TLS handshake phase
